VISA FEE All foreigners have to pay additional surcharge of R 25/- This is apart from the visa fee.

All foreigners who are not permanent residents in South Africa are required to pay a referral fee of R 120, apart from the additional surcharge of R 25 and visa fee. R 120/- is however not charged from foreigners with permanent residence. An example of payment of visa fee applicable for foreigners with or without permanent residence in South Africa is as follows:

Foreigner with Permanent Residence: Visa Fee + R25

The visa fee can be paid at the counter only in cash. Fee can also be paid through bank transfer to the below mentioned account by those applicants falling under the jurisdiction of High Commission of India, Pretoria. The applications in such cases have to be uploaded on Pretoria portal.

Applicants falling under the jurisdiction of CGI, Johannesburg must make the online payment to the below-mentioned account. The applications in such cases have to be uploaded on Johannesburg portal

Applicants falling under the jurisdiction of CGI, Durban must make the online payment to the below-mentioned account. The applications in such cases have to be uploaded on Durban portal.

Applicants falling under the jurisdiction of CGI, Cape Town must make the online payment to the below-mentioned account. The applications in such cases have to be uploaded on Cape Town portal

In case the applicant has made the payment of visa fee via bank transfer, the original proof of payment or proof of payment duly attested by the bank needs to be attached with the visa application. Applications lacking the original/attested proof of payment will be rejected straightway.

Applicants who have made the payment via bank transfer before submitting their visa applications at the counter must ensure that they have attached the original proof of payment and at the same time, have verbally pointed out the same at the counter so that the receipt generated by the VFS Global is not for cash payment but for E.F.T. Applicants or their representatives who fail to do so, will have to make the payment in cash at the time of submitting their visa applications.

Visa fee should never be sent in cash through mail/courier. Credit/Debit Cards/Personal cheques and Postal Orders are not accepted.

Mission/Consulate decides the type and period of visa irrespective of the visa fee paid and type of visa applied by the foreigners. The type and the period of visa once granted cannot be changed.

Visa fee once paid is neither refundable nor adjustable.
