The applicant has to take following action to apply for re-issue of fresh booklet due to change of name on the passport:

i) Online application form is available on website: http://passport.gov.in/nri.

ii) Copy of visa/work permit of the applicant.

iii) Sworn Affidavit.

iv) Original newspaper clippings announcing the change of name published in two leading daily newspapers (one popular daily newspaper in the area of the applicant's present address and another at his permanent address).

v) Fee of Rand 825/- (including ICWF Fee of Rand 25.00) is charged for re-issue of fresh booklet of 36-page passport (including ICWF Fee of Rand 25.00).

vii) Payment can be made by cash or EFT. Details of the same are available on website http://www.vfsglobal.com/. Please note original proof of payment is required and photocopy, faxed copy or scanned copy is not acceptable.

vii) Proof of Residential address in South Africa

viii) Original passport/documents will be returned immediately after verification;

ix) Any other document as specified by the Consular Officer

PROCESSING TIME: UPTO ONE MONTH (Provided all necessary documents are submitted with the application and security status is clear)

Timing for submission of application: 09:00 to 14:30hrs.(At VFS Global Centre)

Timing for collection of services: 15:00 to 16:00 hrs. (At VFS Global Centre)
