Donation for reconstruction of Shri Kedarnath Shrine

 

As you aware, the Kedarnath area was struck by major calamity in 2013 which has caused large scale destruction of property and infrastructure in parts of the province of Uttarakhand in India, including shrine of Shri Kedarnath and massive loss of human life.

During his visit to Kedarnath on 20th October, 2017, Prime Minister directed the local Government to take steps for reconstruction of Kedarnath area and suggested that efforts be made to help develop Kedarnath on the principle of “Smart Township”. The State Government of Uttarakhand have endeavoured to restore the shrine and surrounding area to its pristine glory, while providing devotees with all modern amenities and services. To meet this goal, the state Government has now constituted “Sri Kedarnath Charitable Trust” to seek funds for Shri Kedarnath Dham reconstruction works.

Indian diaspora is, therefore requested to contribute to the noble cause through Sri Kedarnath Charitable Trust, specially created for the purpose by the State Government.
