On 30th April, 2023, through the historic 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the nation. The Indian community and friends of India in the Provinces of Western Cape and Northern Cape joined enthusiastically to listen to this very special episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

On 30th April, 2023, through the historic 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the nation.  The Indian community and friends of India in the Provinces of Western Cape and Northern  Cape joined enthusiastically to listen to this very special episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.   

On this occasion, the Consulate General of India in Cape Town  hosted a special event at the Chancery and also streamed live on all its social media platforms the broadcast of the 100th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat' for the members of the Indian community and friends of India.  

The first episode of ‘Mann KI Baat’ was first aired on October 3, 2014 and since then, this monthly radio programme has been instrumental in Hon’ble Prime Minister’s interactions with the citizens of India and address a range of issues. Since it’s inception, several important topics ranging from environment, cleanliness, examinations and various social issues have been touched upon celebrating the collective spirit of the people of India and highlighting the inspiring life journeys of people of India.
