Emergency Consular/Passport/Visa Services

Government of India has suspended all existing visas issued to nationals of all countries (Other than those issued to Diplomats, Officials, UN staff, Employment and Project visas) till 15th April, 2020. Visas free travel facility granted to Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders has also been kept in abeyance till 15 April 2020. Detailed information may be accessed at the website of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India at www.mohfw.gov.on

2.       The online visa application process has been suspended. Emergency visas may be issued onlyif there are compelling reasons for travel. Foreign national (Including OCI cardholders) seeking emergency visas for travel to India may apply using the manual visa  at https://www.hcipretoria.gov.in/docs/1584439885Manual%20Visa%20Form_COVID.pdfAcovering letter giving the compelling reasons and supporting documents along with the filled up form may be sent to visa.capetown@mea.gov.in Applicants would be contacted thereafter. 3.       In view of the prevailing situation and advice of public health authorities, visit to the Indian Consulate for any consular services. (OCI, Passport, Miscellaneous services on passport, attestation, birth registration, visa etc) would be by appointment only.

4.       Indian national have been advised to avoid non-essential travel. They may be quarantined for minimum period of 14 days if they travel to India.
